#ohvon

If I could have a trending topic for this kid that would be it. All kids can be hilarious, but this one is Tim to a T! From looks to personality. Which means he is a jokester and he knows it. Von has added in his own strut though which I'm a big fan of as well. Here are a few pics of him knowing how funny he is....
Who eats sandwiches without a fire hat on?

I have this same picture where his eyes are open, but he insisted I also take one with his eyes closed.

Tim's sunglasses case makes a great beret.

I found him deep in reading one day.

Showing off his most recent mommy and me class project.  We go to Christ the Servant Lutheran Church for our pre-school activiites and until he is 3 I get to go too.  Which I love for now, but I will also love dropping him off and having some alone time!

This is what he does to my closet almost daily.  I'm pretty sure he thinks he's doing me a favor. He is always so proud once it's done. Makes it hard for me to get mad.

This was taken a while back, but I just love it.  Don't let that smile fool you!

Somebody's Sixth!

I remember like it was yesterday the first time I set eyes on Roman.  They pulled him out and wiped him off to the right of me.  He was the cutest little dude I had ever seen and I thought to myself, "Yay!  I get to love this little ball of cuteness for the rest of my life!"  It's six years later and although Roman has brought us a whole set of challenges we never thought we would have to deal with, I am still so thankful to love this little ball of cuteness every day.  Happiest of years Roman!!!!!

Little London

We are just so proud of London.  She is a giant sass pants, but she is also super funny, talented and so stinking cute.  She is a sweetheart to her friends which makes me happy. Not so much to her one little brother, but siblings will be siblings. She does have a tendency to sit around and watch the ipad all day, so I keep her super super busy.  It makes me a little crazy, but I can't stand the idea of her brain turning to mush.  Here are a few of her recent accomplishments.

I hate going to award's ceremonies with Von, but he actually stayed pretty quiet through this one and they look so cute together.  I don't even remember what this award was for, but I sure am proud. ;)

We had a little lemonade girl scout cookie stand outside of our house for her troop. It was very windy, but they had a great time.

 Superior ratings at festival!

Run for the Money at their school raises so much money and the school does a fabulous job organizing it.  This year's theme was Alice in Wonderland. As they ran around the field there were four or five obstacle courses that were modeled after the theme. And of course the orange slices are always amazing. Each grade runs for 45 min.  London knows how to pace herself, Roman just kept running and running and running until I thought he was going to pass out.  So cute and so funny!

Run for the Money training, gotta have the headphones.  I'm the same way, can't run without my tunes.

This picture is from Christmas break.  I let her get a blue streak because I knew it would mostly wash out by the time school started again.  She LOVED it.

As of this weekend, London has a phone number.  She feels so grown up.  We did it because she is now old enough to stay by herself quite a bit and we want her to be able to reach us.  I even let her stay home with the boys while I ran across the street to Sam's Club.  Let me just say, it was the greatest thing for me! Just having her help me out like that for an hour makes so much difference.

She is also involved in swimming, volleyball and sewing classes.  Like I said, keep these kids super busy so they stay off the electronics and out of trouble!  The thing I love about London and all these activities is she really isn't scared to try new things.  She got a little nervous before her first volleyball game, but she still just gets right out there and tries and doesn't really care what others think.  I hope she stays that way forever.  That's a great attitude to have!

Hey....is this thing on?

Sooooooo, I overheard a friend at church say, "Yes, I still blog and yes, I still love it."  At first I thought to myself, "I haven't blogged since London's first day of kindergarten and I am not about to start up again."  Why you ask?  Because I have this other really efficient method of documenting our lives.  I take pictures all year. I then spend all of winter break figuring out which ones I really like, how many of each photo I need to order for each kid and spend like a million dollars ordering them. THEN once I get them, I organize them into nice little chronological piles which takes another few weeks and eventually put them into cute little books for each kid where I add stickers and colorfully marked comments.  This all sounds so marvelous right? Or do I mean to say ridiculous?  But it really is how I've been doing it and it's gotten crappier and crappier each year.  For example London's first 2 or 3 albums really look like how I just described. They are cute.  Then along came more babies and Roman's and the rest of London's went to just pictures and stickers, then just pictures, then Von came along and now if I ever get around to downloading the pictures and ordering them, they just stay in that nice orange box they are mailed to me in and make me feel super guilty each time I walk by the cluttered table they set on. I even bought this cute little keepsake book for London's baptism.  The pictures are printed and sorted and sitting next to the book, but when life gets busy, and it HAS, it's just not a priority.  We all know that once free time comes as an adult we want to do mindless and kidless things like watch a television show that doesn't have a single song in it. If I ever did find some magical time to complete the book, I have a really strong feeling Roman's wouldn't even come close to getting done and once again I would have this cool thing for her and it would be completely obvious I ran out of gas for my boys.
I asked my sister who has six kids what she does.  She said she quit doing books ages ago and just makes a book on Winkflash for each vacation or family holiday.  If that works for her, great. But once I heard that friend at church say she loved blogging, I realized my method was total garbage...great in theory, garbage in practice. Instead I can upload a few pictures once a week, write up a little summary and then print it out for each of my kids one day.  MUCH EASIER!    So without further delay.....

Grandma and Grandpa Hunsaker and Jen and Adam and the kids all ended up being in Vegas this weekend so we took the opportunity to have a pre-birthday pinata for Roman.  It was so great having family and especially little cousins here.

We spent our Spring Break in Idaho.  It was fun playing with the Idaho cousins and doing lots of Easter things, but I had the flu the whole time so it pains me a little bit to look at these pictures.

We were supposed to go to Disneyland for Spring Break, but Tim's 94 year old grandpa passed away.  Since I ended up getting the flu I was very happy to be able to lay around at my sister's house instead of waiting in long lines at Disney.  There's always another time and it was so wonderful to get to go back to Idaho and celebrate his life. Grandma passed away 6 years ago so they are finally together again.  They left a great legacy and I think they were mostly all there.  All 190 of them!
