Week of Lasts

The school year is coming to a close so there are a lot of "lasts" going on.  This week was Roman's last game. Tim has been his coach and it has been so fun!

We had our little friend Ainzley over, this may be the last time Von can ever impress a girl by pulling her around in his wagon.

Tim's last birthday before he can officially round up to 40.
Happy Birthday Tim!  It was a great day and the next night he and I went to Beatles LOVE.  It  is fabulous!

London's last volleyball game.  She and her team have come so far this season.  I'm excited to watch her grow into a mini me and have a blast being an outside hitter!

This is actually a first....of many picnics to come this summer. They called this their banana picnic because Roman ate real bananas and Von held his fake one.

While Tim and I were at the Beatles show, London made us a Jepordy game and it was really impressive.  Tim is pretty hilarious at most things, but he had me cracking up at this game.  For example, on time she was tying to get us to guess the color baby blue.  She gave us all sorts of clues.  I came up with baby blue. Tim, as usual, messed around and kept saying zygote pink.  So funny!

Here's Roman's version. And true to Roman's form all categories were about Yoda. Again, so funny!

Here's Von's last day of Mommy and Me.  We actually have one more year of this class, but this is the last one for this year.  I LOVE this pre-school program and I'm excited to have him do all of his pre-school years here.

Boys and Their Food

Even as I'm typing this at 9:30 at night, I am cooking Ramen noodles for Roman because he was too distracted for dinner and is now "soaking" hungry.  (That is his word of the week for "super" or "very") He is also doing handstands on the bench while he is waiting.
Here are a couple of pictures of my boys and their food this week.  And to end the week off, Tim brought all 3 of the kids to church without feeding them first so he had to walk Von out of Sacrament meeting to go home for a grilled cheese and juice.  These boys!

On Monday I received a call from Cartwright.  Apparently Roman, who had not been sick at all that morning, was complaining of a stomach ache.  I picked him up and as soon as he got in the car I discovered he was not sick at all, just claimed to be so hungry and needed, RIGHT NOW, the new chips in his lunch.  I almost took him back, but decided to let the boys have a little day off and picnic.

This was at Roman's soccer party.  Sticking with the food topic, this picture does not capture the cupcake, but every kid there had a bright green cupcake and we got to take the leftovers home.  They will all 3 have bright green poop for days.

And finally, last night I came back down the stairs to find that Von had fallen asleep in a pile of Cheetos.  I may or may not be lying if I said I had never done this myself.

Mother's Day

How could I not just love being a mom to these cutie pies!!
Every day, rain or shine, they jump on the trampoline with water for about a half hour and then come in for a warm bath.  It's just expected now.

I adore this kid, can you tell?

At Roman's soccer game he kept shouting, "Go Rebels, get the ball Rebels!"  I didn't even know he knew the team name.  He's going to be one of those aggressive fans someday.

Cute little soccer Roman.  He is actually not aggressive enough, but I'm not sure if that's a bad quality or not in a kid.  He did have a really good block one time and here he is strutting away right after.  Go Roman!

I was spoiled rotten this Mother's Day.  Tim and the kids did awesome.  My 2 favorite things were a pedicure with London and a 3 hour nap.  HEAVENLY!! I've always said, "I wish you could bottle sleep."  It's so nice to get a bunch, but one awful night ruins it all.  Oh well, some day.

From Pentatonix to Youth Conference

This week has been full of many events.  London and I started it off with a girls trip to the Pentatonix concert with our good friends, Kristin and Chelsea.  It was so fun!  I wasn't expecting to love it because I just haven't heard much of their music, but it was amazing!! Their talent almost had me in tears at times. The concert didn't start until 8 pm with 2 opening bands so these girls were TIRED!

All of the kindergarten kids came out with these butterfly headbands on and drinking "nectar." It was so cute.  I just love his age, I wish I could freeze time for him.

First year playing soccer. Tim is his coach which makes me happy to know he is in great hands.  Tim really has enjoyed it too.

Von on the "scales" of the fish slide at the park.
We had a little mishap.  Von broke London's retainer.  That was a $300 oops.  At least she got a blue/green sparkly one to match her sparkly pants.  There's a bright side to everything right?

I finished off the week at Youth Conference.  My first as Young Women's President. It was so fun.  We took them up to Overton to do a ropes course/zip line and a service project at the Clark County Fairgrounds.  Painting horse stalls!  It really was great.  I was mostly impressed with the amount of kids who bore their testimony at the closing fireside.  It went on for about 2 1/2 hours and it could have gone longer.  What great youth.  I love to be a part of it and I love this calling! Here I am with Maria Kirklin and Annette Christensen.  I love these ladies and we all wore matching Desert Valley Audiology jackets because they make great rain jackets and we needed that!!
